Punjab CM provides 571 new vehicles to police force

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has handed over keys of 571 new vehicles to the provincial police force in a ceremony held at Chief Minister's Office on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing the ceremony, Usman Buzdar said 500 vehicles will be provided to police stations, 47 vehicles to Punjab Highway Patrolling Police and 24 vehicles will be given to Elite Force.
“Providing vehicles will enhance police performance and patrolling systems for maintaining law and order situation in rural areas. In the past police were deprived of resources due to political interests but now the Punjab government has fulfilled legitimate demands and expected better performance from the police,” he further said.
Usman Buzdar said Punjab Police has to deliver according to the aspirations of the people.
Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Punjab Inam Ghani briefed Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and said a promise has been fulfilled to provide resources to the Punjab police for ensuring the safety of lives and property of the people.
On the occasion, provincial ministers Mian Mahmood Al-Rasheed, Dr Yasmeen Rashid, Mian Aslam Iqbal, Punjab Chief Secretary, Chairman Planning and Development, Additional Chief Secretary Home, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister and senior officials were present.
