Big fish to be brought to tax net

Authorities have decided to tighten the noose around the tax defaulters, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.

The big fish who has been evading property tax worth Rs7 billion from across Punjab for years will be brought to the tax net. 

The high-ups have sought detailed records from all parts including Lahore.

The data of 50,580 properties from across the Punjab province has been forwarded.

The data of 1500 proprietors, who are defaulters of more than Rs2.5 billion in Lahore, has also been sent.

Detail of defaulters of more than Rs.2.5 billion belonging to Faisalabad and the data of Rawalpindi defaulters of over Rs1 have been forwarded.

In the districts where recovery is not taking place, the reasons should also be given, the authorities directed and asked the directors to arrive with the records on Wednesday.
