A person died and four others sustained injuries in a cylinder blast in Karachi on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to the police, the blast took place at Khayaban-e-Jami, Phase-VII, Defence.

The rescue teams rushed to the spot and started the rescue operation.

Police said that they were inspecting the nature of the blast.

One of the injured persons was stated to be critical.
