Ali Zafar condemns Dr. Zakir Naik’s perspective on unmarried women to whom he called ‘Bazaari woman’

Pakistani singer Ali Zafar opposed recent statements of Dr. Zakir Naik about unmarried women.

A video of Dr. Zakir Naik surfaced on social media in which he said there is no way an unmarried woman can be respected if there are no single men available to whom they marry then they have two options, either they have to marry an already married man to be respected or else she will be a ‘Bazaari’ woman (public property).

Ali Zafar took to ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) and wrote a long note respectfully condemning his point of view and sharing evidence from the Quran to back his own views.

Zafar also urged the latter and men in general to respect women regardless of their lifestyle choices and to encourage them rather than criticize them on making basic decisions for themselves in life.
