APTMA services for flood survivors lauded

Lauding the efforts of Gohar Ejaz for helping flood survivors, Federal Finance Minister Miftah Ismail has said Gohar Foundation has donated Rs 400 million to the Prime Minister's Flood Relief Fund and also arranged ration for one and a half lakh victims.
The finance minister along with federal minister Kh Saad Rafique on Saturday visited the office of the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) and met with group leader Gohar Ejaz.
Gohar Ejaz briefed the minister about problems being faced by the textile industry. APTMA Central Chairman Abdul Rahim Nasir, Chairman Punjab Hamid Zaman, Senior Vice Chairman Kamran Arshad, and Chairman FBR Asim Ahmed participated in the meeting with the ministers. Chief Collector Chaudhary Zulfiqar, Chief Collector Customs Rabab Sikander, Collector Customs Mohsin Rafique, Additional Collector Airport Ali Abbas Gurdaizi attended the meeting while other industrialists were also present on the occasion.
Dr. Gohar Ejaz said the country is currently facing a difficult situation. The manufacturers stand with the government and the nation in this critical time.
Gohar Ejaz said that a donation of Rs one billion has been collected under the banner of the Lahore Institute of Health Sciences (LIHS) and we will deliver 150,000 ration packs to the flood victims following the instruction of the government.
Federal Minister Khawaja Saad Rafiq said that PML-N took the reins of the country in difficult circumstances. Our party has saved the country from bankruptcy by putting its political credibility, he added.
The federal ministers said APTAMA problems are well understood and these will be solved very soon. The Prime Minister will have a meeting with the businessmen very soon, he added.
