PML-N MPA Abdul Manan Sajid arrested in Multan

A member of the Punjab Assembly belonging to the ruling PML-N was arrested by police in Multan on Monday after the high court vacated his interim bail, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
MPA Abdul Manan Sajid was on bail in connection with a case lodged by the assistant commissioner against him.
A division bench consisting of Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan and Justice Shahram Sarwar Chaudhry heard the case at the high court in Multan Registry.
The petitioner’s lawyer said that the assistant commissioner Jatoi was mishandling the gunny bags issue and when the farmers staged a protest against him Abdul Manan Sajid also added his voice to their protest.
In order to hide his crime, the assistant commissioner lodged a false case against the peasants and the member of the assembly.
