Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has summoned Attorney General of Pakistan (AFP) Mansoor Usman Awan to his office immediately, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The attorney-general was busy at the Supreme Court on Tuesday when he received the message.
Mansoor Awan immediately set off for PM House from the apex court.
It may be mentioned that the Parliament’s joint session on Monday evening had reapproved the Supreme Court (Practice and Procedure) Bill, 2023, aimed at curtailing the Chief Justice of Pakistan's powers.
The bill was moved by Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar in the House who said the bill was sent to President Arif Alvi for approval but he returned for reconsideration.
