PM Shehbaz arrives in London after Belarus visit

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in London following the completion of his two-day official visit to Belarus.
He was received at the airport by Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Dr. Muhammad Faisal. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar also accompanied the Prime Minister upon his arrival in the British capital.
Earlier in Minsk, Belarusian Prime Minister Alexander Turchin and Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov saw off the Pakistani premier at Minsk International Airport. Officials from the Pakistani embassy in Belarus were also present for the farewell.
During his visit to Belarus, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a meeting with senior members of the Belarusian parliament, where he described the recent progress in bilateral relations as “extremely positive.”
He met with Natalia Kochanova, Chairperson of the Council of the Republic, and Igor Sergeyenko, Chairman of the House of Representatives. The discussions focused on strengthening parliamentary ties between the two countries.
“The recent developments in relations between Pakistan and Belarus are extremely positive,” the Prime Minister remarked, expressing a strong interest in boosting parliamentary exchanges.
Both sides emphasized the importance of legislative cooperation in advancing bilateral relations and reaffirmed their commitment to deepening mutual engagement through enhanced parliamentary collaboration.
Also attending the meeting were Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan, Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal, and Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar.
