PML-N protests price-hike outside Parliament House

The PML-N lodged its protest against the price hike outside the parliament building on Tuesday.
Addressing the protesters, PML-N Vice President and Public Accounts Committee (PAC) Chairman Rana Tanveer Hussain said that the government’s subsidies would not benefit the general public. “The government had earlier announced Rs six billion subsidy but the people received nothing from it,” he added.
“Prime Minister Imran Khan has initiated an inquiry of the price hike and the inquiry report has also been submitted to him,” Rana Tanveer said. This report should be discussed in public domain as well as in the parliament,” the PML-N leader said.
“The prime minister is expected to protect his close allies like he saved them in the past,” Rana Tanveer said.
Rana Tanveer said that a debate should be held in the parliament after making the investigation reports of Prime Minister Imran Khan into the inflation public.
He accused that PM Imran Khan will protect his close companions and demanded the PM to immediately resign over inflation and hold new elections.
Muhammad Pervaiz Malik, Mian Moin Wattoo, Ali Gohar Khan, Shaishta Pervaiz Malik, Senator Asif Kirmani Kirmani, Barrister Muhammad Javed Abbasi, Senator Ghous Muhammad Khan Niazi, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed, Maiza Hameed, Kulsoom Perveen, Dr. Darshan, Kesoo Mal Kheeal Das Kohistani and others were present in the protest.
