Sameer Ahmed, Faisal Shadikhel win on 2nd day of Cholistan Jeep Rally

A category of Truck race Saturday was added to the International Cholistan Jeep rally for the first time and Sameer Ahmed from Karachi won the race while Faisal Shadikhel won the title of fastest jeep driver, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

A large number of Fans from all over the country reached the Cholistan desert as the second day of the action-packed event International Cholistan Jeep Rally continues in full swing. In the truck race category, Sameer Ahmed was crowned the fastest in his category after he completed the track in two minutes and 58 seconds while Ahmed Shah Marchi from Peshawar stood second after completing the track in three minutes and three seconds.

45 cars took part in the first round of the jeep race on the second day and Faisal Shadikhel was crowned the fastest driver while all the drivers showed excellent skills of high speed driving.

Jam Waheed won the race in the Quad bikes category while Muhammad Ayaz stood second. Jam Muzaffar was disqualified as his Quad bike faced a technical malfunction.

Unimog Trucks from Mercedes were also used in the truck race category. The Unimog has a 5700cc engine. The truck racers said that they are very thankful to the administration for adding the category in the rally.

Various entertainment opportunities including Paragliding have been provided done for the fans to enjoy the event and the aerial scenes of the desert even more. The fans said that they wait the whole year for this mega event in Cholistan. Another fan, appreciating the paragliding said that he got to see the Derawar fort from midair which is mesmerizing and the beauty of this desert and the fort cannot be described in words.
