Excise Policy refined as owners can now register their vehicles online

The Excise Policy for the citizens regarding the transfer of vehicles refined as owners can now register their vehicles online.
The 24News HD TV Channel reported on Tuesday that under the new policy introduced by the Lahore Excise Department the transfer fee will be submitted through the ePay app with biometric verification.
The report said that in the first phase of the new policy, after the online payment, the vehicle will be in the name of the buyer after the approval of the Motor Registration Authority.
So now neither the excise office file nor the registration book has to be submitted for the transfer of the vehicle and motorcycle.
While in the second phase, the system of neuro-registration files will also be made online so that the citizens can register their vehicle at home.
DG Excise Rizwan Sherwani said that for the transfer of vehicle and motorcycle biometric payment will be made online and the registration card will be delivered to the house after one week.
He confirmed that as many as 127 vehicles have been transferred after trial on an online basis on Tuesday. He also ensured that the new biometric system will be launched on Wednesday properly.
Sherwani said all the details have been provided on the website for the information of biometric verification of the citizens so that they do not face any difficulty regarding the transfer of vehicles.
