Claiming that the PTI was turning FIA into political wing, former Federal Investigation Agency chief Bashir Memon on Tuesday alleged that he was asked by the incumbent government to lodge cases against the PML-N top tier leaders including party’s President Shehbaz Sharif, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
He claimed that he was asked multiple times to make cases against the Nawaz Sharif family and PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
Talking outside the District and Sessions Court in Lahore, the former FIA DG said instead of launching an inquiry into the statements he made, cases were lodged against him.
He claimed that the file of the money laundering case against Shehbaz Sharif that is being heard in Lahore, also came to him but he simply refused to make any case after seeing the file.
Memon alleged that the PTI trolls bash people online at the behest of the government. He said these people (PTI activists) were making a joke of Pakistan.
“I am a Pakistani and I will speak what I feel right,” he added.
He urged the FIA not to make a fool of themselves as an institution.
Memon alleged that PM Imran Khan multiple times had instructed him about former K-Electric chief but he stuck to his stance.
Memon claimed that he had been trolled on the basis of a picture of him with an Arab Sheikh.
He revealed that the same person was bringing $50m investment in Pakistan.
