Unruly Awami National Party (ANP) workers thrashed Fazal Muhammad Khan, Pakistan Tehreek-Insaf (PTI) leader who had defeated ANP’s Asfand Yar Wali in the 2018 general elections at the premises of the Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Reportedly, ANP workers kicked and punched Fazal during the hearing of a contempt of court case against the party Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) President Aimal Wali Khan.
PHC Chief Justice (CJ) Muhammad Ibrahim Khan had summoned Aimal today to explain his position over an interview.
The noise outside the courtroom disturbed the chief justice who had to say it aloud to the DSP security to keep the ANP workers silent so that he could focus on his job. “If you don’t silence them, I won’t hear the case,” the CJ Muhammad Ibrahim said.
Absolutely shameful visuals from PHC as goons of ANP attacked PTI leader Fazal Khan inside court’s premises.

Instead of resorting to such cheap and disgusting tactics, ANP and rest of parties should compete in election where the public will decide who should represent them! https://t.co/16kPT79Z7Q
