Dollar hits 8-month high against rupee

With a further surge of 79 paisas, the US dollar has now hit an eight-month high at Rs159.20 against the Pakistani rupee in the inter-bank trading at the closing time 4pm on Thursday. 

In the last four days, the dollar had overall gained Rs4.96 in inter-bank trading.

Trading of the dollar on Thursday started with a 30 paisa uptick and was traded at Rs158.5, according to forex. The buying exchange rate was 158.5 as per Pakistan Open Market while the US to Pakistani rupee selling exchange rate for one dollar was also PKR Rs158.5.
