As many as 14 people died in a fatal collision between a van and a truck on Indus Highway near Manjhand area of Jamshoro on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to details, a passenger van rammed into a truck on Jamshoro Indus Highway near Manjhand. As a result, five people died on the spot while 9 critically injured people lost their battle for life on their way to hospital.

According to the medical superintendent of Manjhand Hospital, 14 dead bodies were brought to the hospital. He said some injured people were also brought to the hospital while some critically wounded persons had been shifted to Hyderabad for better medical treatment.

According to rescue officials, the passenger van was going to Hyderabad from Dadu while the truck was heading to Sehwan Sharif.

The rescue officials further said that the condition of many injured passengers was stated to be critical.
