Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi Saturday commended the players for their performance in the first match against Ireland and expressed confidence in Azam's leadership, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

Dispelling the negative propaganda on social media against skipper Babar Azam and national team members, he said that the players and captain are all on the same page.

During his meeting with national team members in Dublin, Mohsin Naqvi expressed hope in skipper Babar Azam's strategy and gameplay, assuring that the mistakes from the first match would not be repeated.

“This was the first match of the series, hopefully we will win the series inshallah.”
