Karachi woman, son confess to killing young helper boy

Police in Karachi arrested a woman and her son in a murder case of a 12-year-old boy who used to work in their house as a domestic help, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The district east police on Friday launched a targeted operation on the technical basis.
Yesterday, a woman left the body of a dead boy from a bungalow situated on Shaheed Millat Road to a hospital.
As per the initial investigations, accused Samreen Javed drove the body of Aftab (12) to a hospital in her car. The boy used to work in her house as a domestic help and he hailed from Punjab.
SSP East Abdul Rahim Sherazi said that during investigations, accused Samreen and her son Farhan Jeved confessed that they had killed Aftab. They told police that they beat Aftab with a rolling pin as they suspected that he had stolen Rs20,000.
The accused further told the police that the condition of the boy started deteriorating in the night. They tried to give him medical treatment at home, but in the morning his condition worsened.
Samreen took the boy in her car and left his body on a road near a hospital. Then she went to the hospital informing its ambulance driver that body of a boy was lying near the hospital and after that she disappeared.
The police with the help of CCTV cameras caught the woman.
The SSP east said that he could not say yet that it was a rape case as police were waiting for the results of DNA and other reports of the child.
