Well known actress and Guinness World Record holder Veena Malik rejoined the showbiz industry after a gap of seven years.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, she would soon be seen hosting some television programs for her fans and imitating important personalities with some funny styles.

Her original name is Zahida Malik and has worked in Pakistani (Lollywood) and Indian (Bollywood) films. She started her career on the smokescreen in 2000.

Before starting as an actress, Veena was a comedian for several television shows and series.

She was awarded as being the most stylish celebrity on the carpet at the Lux Style Awards in 2007.

In October 2010, Veena appeared on the Indian television reality show Bigg Boss Season 4 as a contestant but was evicted two weeks before the finals.

After her Bigg Boss stay, she was mentioned in the media as the voice of liberal Muslims.

Her title photo on the FHM magazine India edition erupted controversy and later she sued the magazine over her nude images as she said she was topless but not completely nude.

In November 2014, Veena and her husband Asad along with a host Shaista Wahidi were sentenced to 26 years in prison by a Gilgit court for allegedly airing a blasphemous programme and a fine of Rs1.3 million was also set.

Veena broke the Guinness World Records for getting maximum kisses on her birthday in a span of one minute beating Salman Khan.

In 2012 she was ranked at No. 26 on FHM India's "100 sexiest women list" which included Angelina Jolie, Megan Fox, Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, Shilpa Shetty and Sonam Kapoor.

Veena has worked as a representative at the World Health Organization for two years. She also sponsors a child at the SOS Children's Village, an NGO based in Pakistan working with orphaned children.

Veena married a businessman Asad Bashir Khan Khattak in 2013 in Dubai.
