Electricity tariff increased by Rs1.74 per unit

Electricity tariff has again been increased by Rs1.74 per unit under the quarterly adjustment for the whole country including Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has issued notification in this regard.

According to the notification, the price of electricity has been increased for the purpose of quarterly adjustment from April to June 2024 and the increase will be recovered in the three months of September to November 2024.

An additional burden of Rs43.23 billion will be imposed on the consumers, notification says.
