Plan to build 500-seat council hall in Karachi 

Karachi Administrator Saifur Rehman has said a decision to build a new council hall having a capacity of 500 seats has been made, 24NewsHD TV channel 

Four different sites have been selected for the new council hall, he said, adding that the final decision on the location for the council hall will be taken after the report of the engineering department. 

He said the existing council hall has a seating capacity of 310 persons and due to the location of the KMC building in the Old City area, the members were facing difficulties in reaching it. 

Following the election, the number of members will increase to 367 therefore the plan to make the new hall is taken into consideration.
