World Boxing Organization (WBO) Youth World Champion Usman Wazeer Saturday returned home after successfully defending his title, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Usman Wazeer commonly known as Usman 'The Asian Boy' Wazeer) is a Pakistani professional boxer who currently holds the WBO World Welterweight Youth title.

Unfortunately, no representative of the federal or Gilgit-Baltistan government reached the airport to welcome the national hero. However, he was warmly welcomed by boxing fans at the airport.

They showered flower petals on him.  Usman Wazeer defended his world title in Dubai on February 4. He had knocked out Thai boxer Krung Kling. Talking to the media persons, Usman Wazeer said that boxing is an expensive sport for which I need sponsorship. “Federal and Gilgit-Baltistan authorities did not sponsor him despite the promise which is regrettable,” Usman added.

He asked the private sector to sponsor him so that he could win more titles for Pakistan.
