The Army officers and Jawans will get a 15% special allowance as the finance ministry has recommended a 15% raise in their basic salaries, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Sources told 24NewsHD TV on Monday that it has been suggested that Army officials would be given a 15% raise in their basic salary under the title of Special Allowance, 2021.

The special allowance would cost national exchequer Rs38 billion annually.

It is pertinent to mention here that that the officials of armed forces would also be entitled to receive 10% ad hoc relief that has been announced in the budget for the government employees.

Sources said that the federal cabinet will give approval to the summary of special allowance recommended by the finance ministry in its meeting going to be held tomorrow (Tuesday).
