Report on oil, gas projects submitted to PM

The Petroleum Division has submitted a report about oil and gas schemes to Prime Minister Imran Khan, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Sunday.
On behalf of PM petroleum aide Tabish Gohar, the division moved the report that has short, mid and long terms projects.
It stated that the search for oil and gas resources is underway in KP and Baluchistan and CPEC-like security will be provide to the firms tapping gas and oil resources while it stressed the need for pipeline for providing consumers with gas on an affordable price.
The LNG terminal has an additional capacity of 300MMCFD for the private sector, it said adding that the LNG import will be through private sector while the commodity's supply from Gwadar to Karachi will be possible.
The report stressed the Surplus LNG will be helpful in winter. The LPG will be used an alternative source of fuel and by the end of ongoing month, the stakeholders will be taken into confidence, it said, adding that 300MMCFD LNG will be provided to the industrial sector. It laid stress on construction of another two LNG terminals and it insisted on establishing one more terminal by 2023.
On pipeline from Karachi to Lahore, it pointed out that the line will be built at the earliest as per the the directives of PM and local companies will be engaged for the purpose and work on an LNG storage at port Qasim has begun and the task will be completed by 2030.
