Government employees on Thursday staged a protest from the Ministry of Finance to Parliament House against the government for not implementing their demands over salaries, allowances, and ending the Saturday holiday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
All Government Employees Grand Alliance (AGEGA) chief coordinator Rehman Bajwa said if the demands will not be met then another sit-in would be called on May 23.
He said they [government employees] are peaceful people, who will stage protests with peace.
The government employees said they condemned the smear campaign against the state institutions.
It is important to note the government employees staged protests because of the non-implementation of the written agreement reached between the government and the employees on February 10, 2021.
