Punjab CM reviews progress on 43 public welfare projects

Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Saturday reviewed progress on 43 priority projects of public welfare while chairing an important meeting held at P&D Board, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi observed the progress of 43 projects through drone footage.

Chairman Planning and Development Board Iftikhar Sahu briefed the CM about the physical progress of each project through drone footage.

Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi gave instructions to the concerned secretaries to complete the ongoing projects within the stipulated time.

In the meeting, progress on Shahdara Multigrade Flyover, Emamiya Colony Overhead Bridge, Akbar Chowk Flyover, Ring Road Southern Loop was reviewed.

Briefing was given on the construction of two-way road from Wahandu Interchange to Benazir Chowk to link Gujranwala to Sialkot-Lahore Motorway, Abdullahpur Flyover in Faisalabad, Gajumata to Kasur Ferozepur Road projects.

Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed concern over the slow pace of work on the Multan Shujaabad flyover project.

He also reviewed progress on upgradation work of New GOR, Services, Gangaram, Lady Willington, Mayo, General and other hospitals.

Upgradation of Lahore Zoo and Safari Park, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi and Gujranwala Safe City Authority projects were also briefed in the meeting.

Review of establishment of Cadet College Multan, Gujranwala University and restoration of Qila Kahna Qasim Bagh in Multan and establishment of park.

The participants were also briefed about the PAFDA Laboratory and Rabi Gas Plants.

In the meeting, Fatiha was recited for the late Director General Punjab Forensic Science Agency Dr. Muhammad Ashraf Tahir and the participants of the meeting paid him tribute to the valuable services.

Late Dr. Muhammad Ashraf Tahir was an asset and his services in the field of forensic science will always be remembered says Mohsin Naqvi.

Provincial Minister Planning and Development Bilal Afzal, Chief Secretary, Senior Member Board of Revenue, Additional Chief Secretary Home, Secretaries of Departments and senior officials attended the meeting.
