Legal proceedings commence against 213 accused in Peshawar arson and vandalism cases

The wheels of justice are in motion as Peshawar witnessed the initiation of legal proceedings against 213 individuals implicated in the cases of arson and vandalism that unfolded on May 9 and 10, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Wednesday.

The gravity of the incidents, which rocked Peshawar, is reflected in the extensive legal action being taken against the accused.

Anti-terrorism courts in Peshawar have issued notices to 164 of the accused involved in the said incidents.

As part of a comprehensive investigative effort, the police have completed their inquiry into six cases, leading to the submission of challans for all 213 accused involved in the violence. This development was confirmed by the prosecution, marking a significant step forward in the pursuit of justice.

In a move to ensure a fair and transparent legal process, the courts have issued notices to the nominated accused in four specific cases, according to official sources within the prosecution.

The accused are expected to attend the upcoming court appearances.
