Journalists, civil society take out rally against PMDA

The journalists and civil society Sunday took out a rally against the Pakistan Media Development Authority bill in Islamabad, reported 24News HD TV channel.
The rally culminated in front of the main gate of the Parliament House. A heavy police contingent was deployed in front of the Parliament House. The police personnel with batons were deployed in front of the gate of Parliament and surrounding buildings.
The roads and streets leading to the Parliament House were sealed.
The journalists' protest rally reached in front of the main gate of Parliament House where they staged a peaceful sit-in.
