The number of men surpassed women, according to the 6th census conducted in 2017.

According to the census, the number of men reached 106,300,000, followed by women that stood 101,300,000.

In the 2017 census, the country’s population was 207,680,000 and the population growth was 2.40 per cent, the pupation ministry said.

Planning Minister Asad Umar said the country is going to conduct the fresh census in September and it will take 18 months to be completed.
