Ramazan moon-sighting in Peshawar today

The members of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet today (Tuesday) in Peshawar to sight the Ramazan crescent, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to Met Office, there is a strong possibility that the moon will be sighted today as its age will be over 35 hours at sunset today.
Chairman of Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad said the committee has also extended an invitation to Mufti Popalzai to attend the meeting.
He expressed the hope that the country will observe fasting on the same days and also celebrate Eidul Fitr on one day.
It may be recalled that Maulana Azad was appointed by the federal government in December last year, replacing Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman.
According to the statement issued from the committee, Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Islamabad's session would take place at the Ministry for Religious Affairs and Inter-faith Harmony.
The TV channel reported that meetings of the zonal and district committees would take place at their respective headquarters.
A meeting of the Provincial Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will be held in the evening at Aiwan-e-Auqaf in Lahore before 6 pm amid participation from members of the provincial zonal Ruet-e-Hilal committee, scholars and representatives of the Meteorological Department and others will participate.
Earlier, Federal Science Minister Fawad Chaudhry inaugurated Islamabad Space Observatory. Chairman of Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Maulana Abdul Khabirwas also present on the occasion.
