Govt to start anti-polio campaign from April 21

The federal government decided to start an anti-polio campaign across the country on April 21, which will be concluded on April 27, 2025, to curb the alarming trend of polio spread in the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
The National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC) for Polio stated that during the campaign, more than 45,000,000 children would be administered polio drops.
In the first six months of the current year, three polio campaigns will be started. The first campaign was already held in February 2025, while the second and third campaigns will start in April and May 2025, respectively.
In the first anti-polio campaign in February, around 42.5 million children were administered the polio vaccine.
The NEOC said that from the start of the current year till now, six cases have been reported from across the country.
