In the third match of the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Multan Sultans' captain Mohammad Rizwan won hearts not just with his bat but also with his words. Instead of speaking in English during the toss ceremony, Rizwan chose to speak in Urdu, a decision that quickly turned into a viral moment on social media.

The match, held at the National Bank Stadium, featured a high-octane battle between Karachi Kings and Multan Sultans. Rizwan led from the front, playing a brilliant unbeaten innings of 105 runs, which included 9 fours and 5 sixes. Thanks to his heroics, Karachi Kings were given a massive target of 235 runs.

However, the target did not intimidate Karachi Kings' star batter James Vince. He delivered a blistering response with a 101-run knockoff in just 43 balls, smashing 14 boundaries and 4 sixes, ultimately snatching victory from the Sultans.

Despite the defeat, Rizwan's decision to favour his native language stood out. During the toss, when prompted for comments, Rizwan humbly said, "I want to speak in Urdu," and proceeded to give the interview in his national language. Fans appreciated his pride in his roots, and the clip of the interview spread like wildfire across digital platforms.

Earlier, in a pre-match press conference, Rizwan had addressed questions regarding his English-speaking skills. He candidly admitted, "I try my best to adopt the proper style, but since English is not my mother tongue, it becomes difficult. From now on, I will try to speak in Urdu."

This sincere and grounded approach by Rizwan won him immense praise, showing once again that authenticity resonates far more deeply than formality.
