Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Monday that the government would give Ehsaas Cards to the people, having monthly income of Rs50, 000, so that they could meet their expenses in these times of inflation, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing the function held in Lahore to launch ‘Nya Pakistan Sehat Card Programme’, he said that each and every household of Punjab would get a ‘health card’ by March, 2022. “These cards will enable 30 million of Lahore and the rest of Punjab to avail treatment facilities free of cost,” he said, and added that Rs440 billion would be spent on health insurance in the next three years.
At the same time, however, he reminded that there was inflation in the entire world, and Pakistan was no exception.
PM Imran announced the government would make arrangements for the sale of wheat flour, ghee and pulses at concessional rates.
He was of the view that when there was corruption in the country, it meant that there was absence of ‘rule of law’ in the country.
The prime minister recalled that the opposition parties had censured him for not imposing the lockdown when first wave of the coronavirus pandemic had reached the country.
