Etihad Airways passenger service is to return to the skies in July after the Abu Dhabi-based carrier revealed a list of 42 destinations.

The service has been grounded since the end of March, under UAE Government orders, to curb the spread of coronavirus, with only repatriation flights operating from the emirate.

However, the schedule for July has been revealed and includes seven destinations in India; 15 European cities; New York and Chicago in the US and Toronto in Canada; Kuwait, Bahrain, Riyadh and Muscat in the GCC; and various cities across Asia, as well as Sydney and Melbourne in Australia.

The airline said the scheduled flights are subject to the approval of the governments and removal of restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

From Wednesday this week, Etihad began flights linking 20 cities in Europe, Asia and Australia via the UAE capital.

Throughout June, transfer connections via Abu Dhabi are available from Jakarta, Karachi, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Melbourne, Seoul, Singapore, Sydney, and Tokyo to major cities across Europe including Amsterdam, Barcelona, Brussels, Dublin, Frankfurt, Geneva, London Heathrow, Madrid, Milan, Paris Charles de Gaulle, and Zurich.
