Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has summoned a meeting of PPP Lahore officebearers Sunday at 5pm at Bilawal House Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Bilawal Bhutto is in Lahore to give a spur to his political activities and will be meeting with party workers and leaders.

Former prime minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, PPP senior leader from Punjab Qamar Zaman Kaira, PPP Parliamentary Leader in the Punjab Assembly Hassan Murtaza, PPP Lahore President Aslam Gill, Haji Azizur Rehman Chan, PPP Lahore general secretary Israr Butt and Information secretary Abid Saddique are expected to attend the meeting.

Bilawal has summoned the meeting to discuss PPP’s Lahore and Central Punjab organizational structures.

Meanwhile, Bilawal termed the budget anti-people and cruel. “Over 400 billion rupees of taxes have been imposed on the people of Pakistan,” he said.

In a statement issued from Media Cell Bilawal House on Sunday, Bilawal said that Imran Khan’s government had taxed every household item, utility, and service used by the people of Pakistan.

“Taxing every phone call, SMS, and internet in the budget and then walking it back after there is backlash the next day is proof that the government has no plan, and that it continues to muddle forward at the cost of the well being of the people of Pakistan,” said the PPP chairman.

“The government is also afraid of the public reaction against heavy taxes imposed on them.”

Bilawal rejected the budget, deeming it blatant theft from the public in the name of taxes, and warned that he would continue to expose the anti-people economic measures of Imran Khan.
