Sindh to announce Rs23.5 trillion budget for FY 2024-25 tomorrow

Focusing on salary increase and ongoing development projects, the provincial budget for fiscal year (FY) 2024-25 will be presented in the Sindh Assembly tomorrow (Friday).
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah will lay the budget in the House.
Sources said the total volume of the new budget is expected to exceed Rs23.5 trillion.
The sources said the Sindh government of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) has decided to give more than 50,000 new jobs in the education, police, energy and other departments in the budget with the proposal of 20 to 25 per cent increase in the salaries of government employees.
Pertinent to mention here that it was decided to increase the salaries of the government employees in Sindh from 15 per cent earlier, but now it has been revised after the 25 per cent increase in salaries by the federation.
The sources said the government has its major focus on the completion of the ongoing development project and there is a proposal to allocate a maximum amount for ongoing schemes in the Sindh budget and a minimum amount will be allocated for new schemes.
