Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz, sons of former prime minister and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif, who are proclaimed offenders in graft cases, returned to Pakistan from the UK on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Both brothers will appear in an accountability court (AC) in Islamabad on Thursday (March 14, 2024).
Nawaz Sharif received his sons at the airport.
A trial court had on March 7 suspended permanent arrest warrants issued for Hassan and Hussain until March 14 (Thursday).
Accountability Court-I Judge Nasir Javed Rana gave the order while hearing petitions filed by the brothers through Advocate Qazi Misbah.
Their lawyer stated that both Hassan and Hussain Nawaz intended to return to Pakistan and appear before the court on March 12. “Therefore, it is requested that their perpetual arrest warrants be suspended to facilitate their court appearance,” he added.
