Section 144 imposed in Karachi’s District South

In the wake of an announcement made by two religious and social organizations to take out a rally from Teen Talwar in District South of Karachi to the press club, the Sindh government on Sunday imposed Section 144 in the district, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
A heavy police contingent has been deployed at Teen Talwar to prevent the participants of the rally from congregating at the site.
On Saturday, 24News TV channel had reported that in the wake of the SCO summit, Section 144 had been imposed in Karachi for five days.
According to the notification issued by Commissioner Karachi, there will be a complete ban on gatherings and rallies from October 13 to October 17 in view of security concerns.
