The Lahore High Court has expressed its dissatisfaction over the report submitted by the Punjab government to the court on the Jaranwala incident, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

LHC judge, Justice Asim Munir on Wednesday heard the petition seeking the constitution of a judicial commission to investigate the Jaranwala tragedy in which a mob vandalized and torched houses and churches of Christians.

During the hearing, the provincial chief secretary and additional home secretary submitted the report to the court on behalf of the Punjab government.

The court, however, expressed its dissatisfaction over the report, directing the chief secretary to submit a detailed report.

The judge remarked that if the report would not be satisfactory next time, then the court would summon the chief secretary in personal capacity.

During its previous hearing on Monday, the high court directed the assistant advocate general to submit a report on the matter.

The petition was filed by Shehbaz Soraya Advocate and another by the Grace Bible Fellowship Church. The petitioners said that over 600 people were involved in vandalizing and violence against Christian citizens and pleaded for the constitution of a judicial commission to probe the incidents against the Christian community in Jaranwala on August 17.
