The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Tuesday demanded the caretaker provincial government release funds for the restoration of flood-wrecked schools in Sindh, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
PPP election cells in-charge Senator Taj Haider wrote a letter to the Chief Election Commissioner along with the photos of the affected schools.
In the letter, he demanded that the caretaker government issue the funds for the restoration of the schools across Sindh as they are already approved in the budget.
He said that the constitution does not allow the caretaker government to suspend any of the ongoing development schemes. They also do not have any right according to the constitution to change the existing policies of the elected government.
The newly constructed school buildings in Sindh can also be used as polling stations in the upcoming general elections, said Senator Taj Haider in the letter.
