Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb Monday chaired a meeting to talk about giving loans to important sectors in line with the government’s plan for export-based economic growth, reported 24|NewsHD TV channel.

The meeting was attended by representatives from the State Bank of Pakistan, the Pakistan Banks Association, and major banks. The main goal was to make sure that the banks supported the government’s plan to boost the economy through exports.

The Finance Minister said that a strong economy needs both investment and export growth. He explained that the government is helping foreign investors who want to improve Pakistan’s export industries.

Minister Aurangzeb also mentioned the positive response from international investors.  These efforts show that the world is confident in Pakistan’s economic future.

The Finance Minister talked about a possible $2 billion investment in Pakistan's ports and maritime infrastructure. This investment would help with trade and highlight Pakistan's importance in regional markets.

The meeting also discussed the need for banks, policymakers, and investors to work together.

The Finance Minister stressed the importance of using new technology to give loans to small farmers without needing any collateral.

Before the meeting, Minister Aurangzeb visited business chambers to gather ideas from business leaders.

He reminded everyone that while the government has achieved stability, it is just the beginning, and the goal is to continue promoting export-driven growth.
