Actress Ayesha Omar gave a tit-for-tat response to an Instagram follower who criticized her for wearing a short dress.
One of her fans commented on her picture saying: “Let’s clear up here a Muslim woman who shamelessly wears bikini/swimsuit to attend a concert of about 4,000 people approx is now raising her voice for sexual harassment. (Which may or may not be true) After 15 years of getting harassed woke up from the dead after 15 years? Does it make sense? What a shame.”
Hitting back at the troll, Ayesha Omar said: “Since you seem a little unaware of human rights and morality. Let’s clear up here. A Muslim or non-Muslim woman or a man dressed in a burqa/dress/bikini/lacha who is raising her voice about her or anyone else’s experience after 15 years of getting sexually harassed by someone powerful, twice her age at a workplace woke up from the dead after 15 years because she did not have the courage until now to speak up.”

She further adds, “Because she knew what she would have to face later and she wasn’t ready for it. Her/his dressing has absolutely nothing to do with anything. Someone’s dressing is not responsible for them being touched, harassed and assaulted. The harasser’s sick min and intentions are responsible.”
