Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi congratulated the entire nation on the eve of Independence Day, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

In his message, Mohsin Naqvi said “My heartiest congratulations to the countrymen on Independence Day. Freedom is a blessing and thank God we are breathing in a free country. If you want to know the value of freedom, learn from the slave nations,”

The Interior Minister said as a nation, we have to recognize and understand the value of the independent country.

Millions of Muslims gave their blood to light the candle of freedom, Mohsin Naqvi said.

Mohsin Naqvi said we salute the unparalleled sacrifices of those who were martyred in the struggle of Pakistan Movement.

We pay tribute to the great sacrifices of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the peace of the country, Mohsen Naqvi said.

He said there is no country in the world as beautiful and rich in resources as Pakistan.

Unfortunately, as a nation, we wasted 77 years in mutual differences, group discrimination and linguistic and communal prejudices, Mohsin Naqvi said.

He said time has come for the entire nation to unite and think of Pakistan as one. Pakistan is all of us.

Everyone has to do their part in the struggle to make Pakistan a great country by leaving aside egos, prejudices, differences and divisions forever, Mohsin Naqvi said.

Independence Day demands that we learn from the mistakes of the past and move towards a bright future, Mohsin Naqvi further said.

He said by sticking to the principles of faith, unity and organization, everyone should play their full role for the progress and development of the country.

By the grace of Allah Almighty, the nation will emerge victorious from every challenge, said Mohsen Naqvi.

He said let us take a pledge today that we will move forward as one for Pakistan beyond personal interests.
