Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that the detailed judgement of the Supreme Court had exposed the pack of lies of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan who did propaganda about the no-confidence vote as the ‘regime change’, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In a tweet posted on Thursday, the prime minister maintained “Honourable Supreme Court’s detailed judgement on Vote of No Confidence exposes the lies and propaganda indulged in by Imran Khan and company.”

Shehbaz Sharif termed it “utterly shameful” how Imran Khan tried to undermine the Constitution and manufactured the lie of “regime change”.

“The judgement is a must-read for everyone,” the prime minister stressed.

The Supreme Court on Wednesday issued a detailed judgement explaining the reasons behind its decision to set aside a controversial ruling by the National Assembly speaker on April 3 that dismissed the no-confidence motion against then prime minister Imran Khan.

In the verdict authored by Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial, the top judge stated that by dismissing the no-confidence motion against Imran Khan, Speaker Qasim Suri prima facie breached his constitutional duty.

Justice Bandial also said that the April 3 ruling failed to qualify for the protection of the internal proceedings of parliament under Article 69(1) as it was “not the outcome of a vote in the National Assembly instead, it was a unilateral decision”.

Maryam demands Article 6 be invoked against PTI leaders

After the detailed verdict of the Supreme Court, PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz lashed out at the PTI leaders while demanding invoking of Article 6 on the violators of the Constitution.

In her tweet on Thursday, Ms Nawaz wrote: “Not only an action should be taken against these violators of the Constitution, rather Article 6 should be invoked against them for deviating from the Constitution and for committing treason. They should be awarded exemplary punishment so that no one dares break the Constitution again. Everybody including President Alvi were pawns who were being used, and the real culprit, the master planner and mastermind of all this is Imran Khan.”

Azam Tarar says Supreme Court buried PTI’s foreign conspiracy narrative

Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar said while addressing a joint press conference with Adviser to the Prime Minister on Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Qamar Zaman Kaira that the Supreme Court had buried the PTI’s narrative of foreign conspiracy.

“The apex court has said that the matter needs further investigations,” said the law minister, adding that the nation would hold them [the PTI leaders] accountable for their misuse of power.

The law minister deplored that PTI chief Imran Khan had made an abominable move to save his rule, adding: “Imran Khan put national security at stake to save his government.”

The law minister pointed out that the Supreme Court’s verdict was the last nail in the coffin of Imran Khan’s narrative of foreign conspiracy.

“The decision has drawn a line as to who is with the country and who works for the foreign conspirers,” he noted.

“The Supreme Court has also declared the ruling of the former National Assembly deputy speaker unconstitutional,” he said, adding that the decision to dissolve the National Assembly was also illegal.

“The court in its additional note states that the former deputy speaker’s ruling is the violation of Article 5,” he said.

“The hasty decision of dissolving the assemblies was also based on malice, and the government should take an action against it under Article 6,” he stressed.

“The court decision will be remembered as a shining example,” he stated.

On the occasion, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Qamar Zaman Kaira said that Imran Khan was not a democratic person but a fascist.

“The narrative of foreign conspiracy was first rejected by the National Security Committee (NSC) and now by the judiciary. It is time for the government to take appropriate action in this regard,” he emphasised.

Meanwhile, PPP Vice President and Senator Sherry Rehman demanded the resignation of President Arif Alvi after the Supreme Court’s verdict against the ruling of the former National Assembly deputy speaker.

She said that the Supreme Court’s detailed verdict was the last nail in the coffin of Imran Khan’s foreign conspiracy narrative.
