LHW dies from heatstroke at Multan’s Nishtar Hospital

A lady health worker (LHW), who had been admitted to Multan’s Nishtar Hospital two days ago on account of the deterioration of her health while administering polio drops to children in Layyah under the scorching sun, died on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The blood pressure of Abida Khushi, resident of Ward No. 3 Chowk Azam, shot up and she went into a coma due to intense heat while she was on duty.

She was initially shifted to the district headquarters hospital in Layyah from where she was referred to Nishtar Hospital, Multan where she breathed her last.
