CM Naqvi assures Sindh CM of Punjab govt’s support in dealing with cyclone

Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi on Tuesday telephoned Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and assured him his government’s complete assistance in dealing with the cyclone Biparjoy expected to make landfall day after tomorrow (Thursday, June 15, 2023), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The chief minister said that the Punjab government would provide all possible assistance to the people of Sindh, considering it as their national duty. “All concerned departments of the government of Punjab, including Rescue 1122 and Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), are ready to help round the clock,” CM Naqvi said.
Similarly, Punjab chief minister said his government was also ready to assist the government of Sindh in the evacuation of people from coastal areas of the province.
CM Murad thanked CM Naqvi for assuring cooperation.
He said the government of Sindh was monitoring the situation, and would inform him accordingly.
CM Naqvi orders issuance of NOC for nurses:
Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi has ordered that the procedure of issuing no objection certificates (NOCs) to the nurses intending to go abroad for jobs should be made easier.
Chairing a meeting on reforms in the nursing sector, he also ordered resumption of classes at the PKLI’s nursing college, and starting morning and evening shifts at the institution so that more and more girls could study there. “Each nurse will be given monthly stipend of Rs31, 000,” the chief minister said, adding, “The wages given to instructors, nurses and doctors at all nursing colleges for each lecture will also be increased.”
CM Naqvi also sought a plan from concerned officials for improving the standards of allied health professionals and education.
