FIA arrests student in Lahore on Interpol information

A resident of Canal Housing Society Lahore, Hussain Asif, uploaded a video on Snapchat—a video streaming platform—in which he could be seen taking out the pistol in a college classroom, reported 24NewsHD TV on Thursday.
The United States government contacted the Federal Interior Ministry with the help of Interpol. Interpol expressed a danger of firing in the classroom and stressed investigating the matter in order to avoid any untoward incident.
On the advice of Directorate General Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Sanaullah Abbas, Crime Wing immediately nabbed Hussain Asif, a student of KIPS college.
On investigation, the Cyber Wing of FIA came to know, that the student was carrying a toy pistol, but not the genuine one.
FIA Crime Wing Director Babar Bakht Qureshi sent the report to the DG FIA, who have shared the investigation report with the U.S. administration via Interpol.
According to the FIA officials, Hussain Asif has been released on a personal guarantee, however, investigations are underway.
