12-hour outages test people’s nerves in Lahore

There was lot of inconvenience for the people of Lahore as half of the city plunged into darkness on Thursday night following a technical error in the national grid and the outages continued even on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The duration of the power breakdown in some areas even reached 12 hours.
The affected areas included Daroghe Wala, Bilal Colony, Band Road, Salamat Pura, Amir Town, Canal Road, Raiwind Road, Defence Road Thokar Niaz Beg, Lalazar Colony, Al-Hafiz Town, Sabza Zaar and Johar Town.
Lesco officials said the City at the moment experiencing a shortfall of 635 MW electricity. The situation will improve as soon as they get more electricity, they added.
