Zarnish Khan raises objection to Juggun Kazim’s proposal for soft policy on romantic scenes in dramas

Former Pakistani actress Zarnish Khan has raised strong objections regarding famous morning show host Juggun Kazim’s desire to make ‘limited’ romance permissible in Pakistani drama serial.

Juggun Kazim has lately appeared in famous host Momin Saqib’s show in which the lady has indulged in serious discussion regarding Pakistani drama serials.

During the question and answer session, held in the span of the show, Juggun Kazim has provided quite ‘unconventional’ responses which have managed to provoke a serious debate session on all over social media.

Momin: If I were appointed as a head of NEPRA (The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority) I would do first?

Juggun: “I would allow romance in drama serials but in ‘limits’ at least for couples or for those who have ‘Sharai’ relationship. There should be normalcy for the couples at least in drama serials.

Momin: But for this, would you like to cast real-life couples? because the couples we show on screen are not real.

Juggun with straightforward manners: Yar you are acting.

Momin with some embarrassment: okay then its fine.

Juggun: I mean you are acting, you are not doing all of that (romance) with those intentions, you should exclude acting completely in Pakistan. This ‘homeopathic’ sort of acting, going on in dramas, which actually has no romance, I mean you do not feel that you know. People feel assaults because they find it on screens. Here in our drama serial romance does not exist. That is why we are moving toward violence because people think that it is allowed in the form of violence, at least. 

Media personality Zarnish Khan, who has quit showbiz and decided to live a religious life took to Juggun Kazim debatable stances and expressed deep concerns.

Here are exact words of Zarnish Khan stated during her Instagram story: “Uff I have so many questions. Hadain kya hain who? Sharia taluq? What the actual f? Even real miyan bivi bhi hon tw khula romance dikhana is fine? And BTW siway khulam khula makeout and (..) ke aur pechay reh kya gya hai jo on screen dikhana hai? Hmm, I can say whatever the (..) I want on camera as log as its politically correct or at least sounds sane. Like ‘Sharai Taluk’ I mean logic is taking severe hit somewhere. Not to sound rude or condescending, but logically speaking, just because your job involves acting, does that mean anything should be allowed? Pornography is a form of acting too, which is why this statement is concerning. Cuz feelings Tu nai hein, real tu nai hai.Also please refrain from bringing religion into your comments just to convince people that what you’re saying makes sense, especially by using the term ‘sharai taluqaat.’ When addressing our nation or speaking on a public platform, it is our social responsibility to think before we speak. This is not a casual conversation one might have in a drawing room. While I don’t agree with the entire argument, the true problem lies in expressing it publicly and exacerbating the situation by incorporating religious terms. Religion should not be mixed with baseless opinions.”
