Knocking At Windows: Online photography exhibition on April 18

April 15, 2020 12:44 PM

An online photography exhibition on street life theme will be held on April 18 featuring the images of young and amateur photographers from across Pakistan.

One of the organizers of the exhibition, visual artist and photographer Zaheer Chaudhry told 24NewsHD TV channel: “Social distancing means that we should not discontinue our socialization by other means, so let's exchange memories of happy street life through already captured street photography and show it to the world.”

“Covid19 has hit all over the globe and the pandemic brought life on the street to a standstill. Until we get back to normal social life, everything remains closed and we can only connect on social media,” he said.

“Such online exhibitions can contribute to sharing memoirs of pre-virus days. The aim is to inspire young street photographers from all over Pakistan especially from rural areas and small towns so they go for photojournalism as a profession after studies,” he added.

This would be the third online exhibition on April 18 followed by fourth on 25th April.

There are three panelists or curators of online exhibition, Salman Alam Khan (documentary/ film director), Umair Ghani (Author, Photographer) and Zaheer Chaudhry (Visual Artist, Photographer).

Each show will be uploaded on https://web.facebook.com/orco.info/ and https://www.instagram.com/orco.info/
