A high-stakes meeting inside Adiala Jail between PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and the party’s founder Imran Khan has sparked fresh political ripples, as the latter issued a stern rebuke to PTI General Secretary Salman Akram Raja, insiders revealed on Monday.

According to credible sources, the founder expressed dissatisfaction with Raja's recent conduct, emphasizing that as General Secretary, he must “stay within his domain” and not exceed his mandate.

In contrast, the founder reportedly reaffirmed that Barrister Gohar, as party chairman, enjoys full immunity and authority to lead.

The founder also issued clear instructions regarding the jail visitation protocols, saying, “If the jail administration blocks individuals from the list, then others who are allowed must meet me.”

He dismissed the excessive vetting, remarking, “This is a political party, not a security agency that requires documentation for every interaction.”

In a message clearly aimed at calming internal rifts, the founder urged party leaders to refrain from issuing statements against one another in the media, calling for unity amidst mounting external pressure.

The meeting also touched on the recent controversial engagement between Atif Khan, Dr. Amjad, and an American delegation. Sources said the founder was handed a report on the interaction, but he simply took “a deep breath” and chose not to comment.

On the legislative front, the founder instructed party lawmakers that the Mines and Minerals Bill must not be passed without first consulting the political leadership, signaling concern over potential moves in parliament that could bypass party consensus.
